DUTCH LESSONS terms & conditions

The Dutch language services offered by Dutch 4 Beginners (a trading name used by Jelle Hanse) are subject to the following Terms & Conditions. By booking our services, you constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Dutch 4 Beginners provides two types of Dutch language courses:

- Dutch private lessons in Nottingham
- Dutch private lessons via Skype

The following rates are applicable.

PRIVATE DUTCH LESSONS IN NOTTINGHAM & VIA SKYPE

The normal hourly rate is £ 30.00 per hour, however if you book 5 or 10 lessons in one go, your loyalty is rewarded with additional discount. Depending on how many hours you book, you get the following hourly rates:

TASTER LESSON

For people who are trying out our services, we also offer a taster lesson. Taster lessons can only be booked once per person/couple

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RATES?

Each lesson takes 60 minutes. The above rates are based on private lessons held in Nottingham City Centre or via Skype. A private lesson in another location (outside Nottingham city centre) may be subject to a travel fee. The above rates include the lesson material used during the private lesson. A digital copy of the lesson material can be supplied on request, by email, after the tutorial / payment.

Extra material such as writing material, stationary, language dictionaries, etc are not included in the above rate.

The above rates include free access to our online vocabulary course. Details regarding this course will be supplied after completion of your first lesson.

RESCHEDULING ADVANCED PAID PRIVATE LESSONS

If you need to reschedule or cancel one of your advanced paid private lesson, please contact Dutch 4 Beginners immediately. Dutch 4 Beginners asks for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. If you contact us prior to the 24 hours notice before the booked private lesson, we can reschedule your lesson. Rescheduling private lessons will be subject to availability. Dutch 4 Beginners has no obligation for financial compensation for non-attendance, or for lessons that are cancelled within 24 hours prior to the booked lessons.

CANCELLING ADVANCED PAID PRIVATE LESSONS

If you wish to cancel your advanced paid lessons, please contact Dutch 4 Beginners immediately. Dutch 4 Beginners works by the following cancellation policy:

If a new student has advanced paid for their first private lesson (and further lessons) and changes their mind about learning Dutch with Dutch 4 Beginners prior to their very first lesson, and notifies Dutch 4 Beginners in writing 48 hours prior to the very first booked lesson, any advanced payments will be fully reimbursed. If within 48 hours prior to the first private lesson, the first lesson will be charged and any outstanding private lessons will be fully reimbursed.

If a new student is not satisfied with their very first private lesson and wishes not to continue learning Dutch with Dutch 4 Beginners, and indicate this during their first private lesson, then we will only charge 50% for the first private lesson, and fully reimburse any advanced payments made for outstanding lessons.

If a new student is not satisfied with their very first private lesson and wishes not to continue learning Dutch with Dutch 4 Beginners, and indicates this after their first private lesson, but before 24 hours prior to their second private lesson, then the first private lesson will be fully charged, and Dutch 4 Beginners will fully reimburse any advanced payments made for outstanding private lessons. If within 24 hours prior to the second private lesson, the second private lesson will be charged in full and any following private lessons will be fully reimbursed.

If the student wishes to stop learning Dutch with Dutch 4 Beginners after their second private lesson, but still have some outstanding private lessons, Dutch 4 Beginner will reimburse the student for 70% of any advanced payments made for any outstanding private lessons. If the cancellation notification is received within 24 hours prior to an already booked private lesson, that private lesson will be charged at full rate.

FREEZING LESSONS & EXPIRATION

The student can freeze their lesson schedule and pre-paid lessons, if the student needs a break from learning Dutch. During this break, the pre-paid lessons will be held for a period of 6 months. The pre-booked lessons will expire if the lessons are not used within a period of 6 months from the last lesson. Within the 6 months break period the above refund arrangement applies. No refund applies after the 6 month period. The student can request an extension (within the 6 months break period) if the student needs a longer break, however acceptance is subject to Dutch 4 Beginners's discretion.

ALTERATIONS BY DUTCH 4 BEGINNERS

Dutch 4 Beginners will do its utmost to provide the arrangements that have been confirmed, but Dutch 4 Beginners must reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any private lesson if unforeseen circumstances arise. Dutch 4 Beginners will try to make reasonable alternative arrangements.

LIABILITY OF DUTCH 4 BEGINNERS

Dutch 4 Beginners can not be held liable for the failure or improper performance of these services where such failure or improper performance is attributable to the fault of the client, unforeseeable or unavoidable actions of an unconnected third party or unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond Dutch4Beginner's control, including force majeure.

UPDATING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Dutch 4 Beginners reserves the right to update and alter the Terms & Conditions at any time. Any current students will be informed per email about any major changes to the Terms & Conditions. If you have any questions regarding these Terms & Conditions, please contact us via the contact page.
