ABOUT DUTCH 4 BEGINNERS
WHO AM I?
My name is Jelle Hanse-Ievolella and I use the trade name Dutch 4 Beginners for my Dutch language services. I provide private one-on-one and group Dutch classes to students through the United Kingdom.
I was born and raised in the Netherlands and I moved to the United Kingdom in 2005. I am a native Dutch speaker who also speaks fluent English, advanced German and Italian and basic French. I have a keen interest in other cultures and I love to learn new languages.
UNDERSTANDING Language students
My husband is Italian and therefore I am learning Italian to speak with the family. Studying a language myself, gives me a good understanding of what language students need from a tutor.
I write and use my own lesson material during the Dutch classes. There is a lot of lesson material out there, but I find that it is not as inclusive and does not explain the reasoning behind grammar. I find it important to know why something is done in a particular way and therefore I always try to integrate this in my lesson material.
TAILORING THE LESSONS TO YOUR NEED
I have been training people for several years and in 2015 I set up my own Dutch language school – Dutch 4 Beginners. I have taught a wide range of students with different learning styles, language backgrounds, nationalities and ages.
I have been teaching students between 18 to 83 years old. I believe anyone can learn a language, no matter their age. I will tailor the lesson specifically to meet your learning style, speed and needs
